Highway Department receives new equipment

The board of trustees met Tuesday to approve the purchase of new equipment for the highway department.

The Jackson Board of Trustees approved the purchase of new equipment of the highway department at Tuesday's trustee meeting. A new laptop was purchased for $1700.00. Six new radios for use in the highway department's trucks were also purchased for $5760.00.

The park division also accepted donations for the 2013 Community Celebration. Buehler's Fresh Foods gave $500.00, BellStores pitched in $500.00 and Massillon Cable TV Inc. donated $2,500.00.

The next board of trustee meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Feb. 26. Meetings are held at the administration building, 5735 Wales Avenue N.W. in Jackson Township.
