With spring right around the corner, Honeybaked Ham Company is gearing up for what they estimate will be a busy Easter Holiday. The National Retail Federation expects Easter holiday sales to jump 11 percent this year.
"People are spending their holidays at home now more than ever. That is why we do such big business so that families can have their meal at home," Honeybaked Ham store manager Mary Murray said.
Easter is March 31 this year, which is about two weeks earlier than usual. The Honeybaked Ham store is actively hiring for the holiday. "We get real busy and really need the extra staff," Murray said. The Jackson store is hiring for front retail, delivery and backroom staff. Murray says that most of the work is seasonal, but there is always the chance that someone could be brought on full-time.
The Honeybaked Ham Company reports that it increases ham sales up to 10 times higher than normal during the two weeks prior to Easter Sunday. "Our busiest times are Christmas, Thanksgiving and, of course, Easter, so we do need the extra help," Murray said.
Murray encourages job applicants to come to the store and ask for her directly. All shifts are available and several positions need to be filled right away. The Honeybaked Ham store is located at 5246 Dressler Road N.W., Canton. For more information, please contact Mary Murray at 330-966-7727.
