Jackson High School to host global opportunities and cultural awareness event this Wednesday

Jackson High School will host an event titled Capitalizing on Global Opportunities: The Need for Cultural Awareness at Home and Abroad at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The speaker for the event will be Dr. Brandon Wiley, Executive Director, International Studies Schools Network, N.Y. Office.

Wiley, who has spoken at Jackson High School before, values the importance of teaching students how to understand the world, and helping them learn and what it takes to be a global citizen. Wiley offers practical experience in implementing school and district reforms and innovative programs. Wiley's main objective is to support the development of internationally focused schools that foster students to be globally competent and college or career ready.

This event will be held in the Jackson High School commons, 7600 Fulton Street NW, Massillon. All students and parents are invited to attend.
