My101.7FM set up shop on Dressler Road to accept food and cash donations for the Akron-Canton Foodbank.

The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank set up a mobile donation location on Dressler Road on Friday.

The Foodbank partnered with local radio station My101.7 FM to collect donations in the event.

"It's a great time of the year to give back,” said Foodbank representative Michael Wilson. “The need is always growing and this year it's tough.”

The 415 Group and Goodyear agreed to match all financial donations from Friday's event.

The Foodbank is still accepting food, cash, and credit card donations at it's various locations. For every dollar donated, four meals can be provided to a family in need.

The Foodbank distributes an average of 68,000 meals each day.  In 2011, they donated 19.4 million pounds of food to needy families in the Akron-Canton area, according to the foodbank’s website.
