Construction of new businesses is a common sight in Jackson Township.

The Jackson-Belden Chamber of Commerce has recently reported three new banks that will open or have already opened in Jackson Township.

Consumer's National Bank on Dressler Road NW opens this weekend. This is the twelfth branch in the bank's network and the seventh location in Stark County.  The bank was started in 1965 in Minerva, Ohio.

Westfield Bank opened a branch in North Canton last month.  They have been in business for more than 160 years and provide both banking and insurance services to their customers.

Key Bank will open a new branch on Whipple Avenue NW in Jackson Township.  It is scheduled to open this fall.  Key Bank, based out of Cleveland, currently has 1,062 full service branches in the United States and employs more than 15,000 people.

Board of Trustee member, James Walters said Jackson is the business heart of Stark County. Businesses may be attracted to the township because according to the township’s website, it is one of the safest areas to live in Stark County and the school district is rated excellent.
