Trustees approve 2013 budgets for fire, highway departments
JACKSON TWP.: The Jackson Township Trustees approved the 2013 budget requests for the fire department and highway division at its meeting Nov. 13.
The fire department submitted a total budget proposal for $10.1 million. The money would be used for several items including EMS training, new gear, computer replacement and heart monitors. Fire Chief Tracy Hogue thanked the trustees for approving the budget request.
The highway division also presented their budget request for 2013. Highway Director Ralph Boger explained the department’s need for more than $3.3 million for the year. The money will be used for highway maintenance, new snowplow equipment, curbing replacement several construction projects.
