Jackson Township police seek more info on pair that attempted to steal nearly $70 beer

By staff

JACKSON TWP.: Jackson Township police are studying videotape of an apparent thirsty pair of thieves, who made off with four cases of beer without paying $67.96 for the merchandise.

Police said a supervisor at the Marc’s store on Belden Village Street Northwest said the pair passed all points of purchase and exited the store without being stopped.

The report indicated the beer was recovered as they walked to a parked car registered to a Southeast Canton woman and fled. Officers hope to identify the pair from the video, which led to the discovery of the identity of the vehicle’s owner.
