JACKSON TWP.: The Board of Trustees approved placing a five year, 1-mill parks and recreation levy on the May 7 ballot at its meeting Tuesday.

The board is placing the item back on the ballot for voters after Issue 29 that was defeated on the November 6 election.

"The amount has been certified by the Stark County auditor," said trustee president James Walters. More information on this levy will be provided, as the primaries get closer.

If approved, the levy will generate $1.2 million a year in revenue.
