Kent Stark State will host an information session for those who are interested in starting a business.

The Kent State University at Stark will be hosting an information session for those interested in starting a business or for those who are in the process of beginning their business. This session is sponsored by the Ohio Small Business Development Center and will take place from 5-7 p.m. on March 7.

This session will provide people with an opportunity to learn about issues related to starting a business. All aspects of running a business will be addressed, such as business planning, determining market demand, financing options and community resources. Visitors to the session may also schedule a one-on-one consultation with a business counselor.

The Small Business Development Center of Ohio is a program funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Ohio Department of Development. There is a $10 fee for materials. It is important to register early as the session will close one week prior to the meeting and walk-in visitors will not be allowed.

You may register for this event at www.cantonsbdc.org or you may call 330-244-3290 for more information. The session will be held at the University Center at Kent State Stark campus, 6000 Frank Ave. N.W. in Jackson Township.
