Jackson: Police blotter for July 29

Arrests

An Independence Circle Northwest man, 54, was charged with assault July 12 after he allegedly yelled at a swimmer, jumped on his shoulders and held him underwater.

A Norton woman, 25, of Hazelwood Avenue, was charged with felony theft July 18 after she allegedly took a woman's Chase Bank credit card and used it at two locations.

A Frank Avenue Northwest man, 21, was charged with domestic violence July 19 after he allegedly pushed his brother and threatened him.

Thefts

A Greenview Circle Northwest man said an $800 catalytic converter was cut from a car at his home July 17.

A worker at AT&T Mobility on Strip Avenue Northwest said July 17 that someone took a $650 iPhone 4S and replaced it with a Verizon iPhone.

Three people took a pressure washer and air conditioner, total value $554, from Walmart on Mega Street Northwest and left without paying July 13. The theft was discovered during a review of store video.

A Canton woman told police July 13 that her purse, which contained a child's hearing aid valued at $1,300, was stolen along with cash and medications as she sat outside Westfield Belden Village Mall near Sears.

A Canton woman said her iPhone 4S, a wallet and other items, total value $1,000, were stolen July 10 at Marshall's on Strip Avenue Northwest.
