The Jackson Township Library will host various events this month. Below is a list of the scheduled events.
Thursday, all day - How Street Smart Are You?
This event is for teens interested in taking a challenge to find out how street smart they are.
Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Book Discussion
This adult discussion group will focus on the following books. Cutting for Stone by A.Verghese, Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks, The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris by David McCullough and Believing the Lie by Elizabeth George.
Monday, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Photo Show
Participants of all ages are invited to view photos entered in the Exercise Your Mind photo contest.
Tuesday, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Outdoor Party for Teen Volunteers
An evening of fun and food will be hosted on the lawn next to the library for all teen volunteers at the library. Registration is required. If you are a teen who is interested in volunteering, please call the library at 330-833-1010.
Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - Kid's App Time
Parents and children are invited to learn all about kid's apps on an iPad including Educreations, Era of Dino and Draw N' Go.
Aug. 12 and Aug. 26, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - Close Knit Group
Share knitting skills and secrets with other adult participants.
Aug. 19, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Reiki and Healing Touch
Registered nurse Anne McFreely will present information used to balance the body's energy and create a feeling of well-being and relaxation. McFreely is from Two Visions Harmony and Wellness Center.
