Strong Kids Campaign an important fundraising tool for Jackson YMCA

The Stark County YMCA is seeking donations to the Strong Kids Campaign in order to help fund program assistance for those who can’t afford to pay.

More than 1,000 kids have received financial assistance since the YMCA's opening, so  they could enjoy swimming lessons, sports, and youth programs. Also, 500 children have been able to attend childcare and several boys and girls are able to participate in summer day camp and Camp Tippecanoe with the help.

"No child or adult is ever turned away for their inability to pay," says David YMCA Executive Director, Jean Campbell.

During this season known for giving, a donation to the Strong Kids Campaign is one way to help.

"One in five Jackson Local School students receive free or assisted lunch each day, so we know there is a financial need out there," said Campbell.

Any donation is accepted and all contributions are tax deductible. The David YMCA also offers a payment schedule for donations.
